It also plays a role in the production of melatonin, the neurotransmitter that controls the sleep-wake cycle.
Dosage: One or two capsules 30 minutes before bedtime. Best taken away from food. Do not exceed three capsules without professional advice.
Ingredients per capsule: 5-HTP (L-5-hydroxytryptophan) from Griffonia simplicifolia seeds 20mg, Valerian root (4:1 extract standardised to 0.8% valerianic acids) 162mg, Magnesium 70mg, Passion flower (4:1 extract) 65mg, Calcium 30mg.
Precautions: Safety for young children, pregnant and nursing mothers, or people with liver or kidney disease has not been established. Do not exceed recommended dose.
