These skins are known as Curly lamb in Europe or Shearling in the USA. The soft lamb’s wool on the inside of the garment will keep the cold out while the reverse side of the skin is buffed to form a silky suede or napa finish.
Look great and feel good in this slim fitting short suede jacket. It is 24 inches (61cm) long and designed to be worn over light clothing. A stylish addition to the jacket is the New Zealand Opossum fur trim and genuine horn buttons.
The Opossum population in New Zealand has reached over 80 million. They are regarded as pests and destroy thousands of acres of native bush each year. The New Zealand Department of Conservation has an active programme to cull these animals to sustain New Zealand's natural environment.
