Birdland - .952 Silver
New Zealand, an island remote from much of the world, is unique in flora and fauna. This is a "Birdland" with birds calling from the forest. Sadly, many calls have been lost so the famous New Zealand singer Boh Runga has designed these native birds pendants including the kiwi, tui, kakapo, robin, fantail and lovebirds.
TUI
Primarily a forest-dweller, the Tui is distributed throughout New Zealand except the far north of the North Island, where sightings are reported to be rare. An inveterate nectar-and fruiteater, this handsome bird makes its way down to the coasts and habitated areas during spring and early summer in search of rata and pohutukawa blooms, puriri berries and flowers, flowering flax, and other fruit or nectar-bearing flora.
